NCTR is a small software company whose principal expertise is in data collection and analysis as applied to transport telematics. The company is based in Cambridge, England, and was set up in 1991 to exploit research in data analysis and probability theory carried out at the Cavendish Laboratory, which is the Physics Department of the University of Cambridge.
NCTR offers software, design and consultancy in transport telematics. Journey-time measurement is a particular speciality, and we have also provided enforcement and other systems. These systems use our own automatic number plate reader (ANPR) software as vehicle sensors, and can also collect information from other types of vehicle sensors such as inductive loops. We can supply all the software for complete systems, and are also happy to supply software subsystems.
